ProSource are currently hiring a M&E Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a reputable M&E Contractor who would be based in Cork. Responsibilities: Oversee all aspects of cost management for assigned projects, including cost estimating, cost control, and budget preparation. Administer contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions, and manage variations and claims effectively. Source, negotiate, and manage subcontractor and supplier contracts to ensure competitiveness and adherence to project requirements. Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including cost forecasts, valuations, and final accounts. Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to safeguard project profitability and ensure successful project delivery. Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to facilitate effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle. Requirements: Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or related field. Membership of a relevant professional body is desirable. Minimum of 3 years experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry, with a proven track record of successfully managing projects. Proficient in cost estimating, contract administration, and financial management software. Sound knowledge of construction contracts and relevant legislation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Flexible and adaptable to changing project requirements and priorities, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
