Monaghan Ref: S011569 RecruitmentPlus on behalf of our client have a great opportunity to join a leading manufacturer as a Mechanical Design Engineer. You will join the team of experienced and junior engineers and work collaboratively bringing new products to market from concept and look at how existing equipment and machinery can be improved. Requirements: 5+ years of experience in machine design or a related heavy equipment / manufacturing industry with an understanding of multiple areas of engineering e.g mechanical design, electrical systems, hydraulic systems Proficient with solid modelling (Autodesk inventor preferred) and Excel and Word Strong orientation towards safety, quality, and continuous improvement with excellent communication skills Demonstrates technical leadership working within a team, can lead project teams, develop project schedules and use resources to produce the best results Experience applying engineering principals to solve complex problems with little or no guidance, identifying and working through multi-disciplinary complex technical problems independently Key Duties & Responsibilities: Develop new designs from initial concept to implementation and improve existing designs Work with sales team to visit customer sites to confirm customers equipment requirements Implementation and maintenance of Lean systems for production process Work closely with our production team during the manufacturing process Creation of SOPs and production tutorials Document designs with solid part models, assemblies, and detailed drawings in Autodesk inventor Verify designs using traditional analytical methods in conjunction with dynamic and finite element analysis software Assess and implement continuous improvement for production process Create and maintain complete machine product structures including bills of materials, Models and Options, and service parts information Advise sales partners on after sales service of equipment and offer maintenance training If you have the relevant qualifications and experience and are interested in this position, please apply now and Ciara who is based in our Northeast office will be in contact if you are suitable.
