Position: Warehouse Mechanical Design Engineer Location: Mayo Fixed Term Contract The Role: Our client, a global leader in the food and beverage industry, is seeking a talented and innovative Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team on a fixed term contract. This person will work on projects to manage the full lifecycle of the machine design process, ensuring high standards of quality, efficiency, and compliance with industry regulations. This role involves playing a key part in designing and developing mechanical systems that enhance manufacturing operations. Responsibilities: * Design and develop mechanical systems, considering budget, timelines, and resource constraints. * Ability to manage projects from planning and design, to testing and implementation. * Provide status updates on projects to senior mechanical design engineers and the company. * Conduct regular tests and experiments to refine and improve components and systems. * Utilise CAD and 3D CAD software to plan mechanical design projects. * Troubleshoot issues and develop effective solutions to ensure project success. * Stay informed about the latest technology and trends in mechanical design. * Adhere to national and local compliance regulations and standards while upholding the company’s ethos. Qualifications/Requirements: * Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. * Previous experience as a mechanical design engineer or machine designer, preferably in the manufacturing sector. * Proficiency with tools such as CAD software. * Skilled in interpreting engineering drawings and 3D modelling. * Strong verbal and written communication skills.
