Role Overview: They are seeking a dynamic Mechanical Project Engineer to join their team in Dublin, Ireland. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise and a track record of success in mechanical design, construction, safety, and client relations. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive reviews of design documents, specifications, and schedules to ensure they adhere to industry standards and project requirements. Ensure that all work is completed in line with project specifications and quality assurance plans. Develop alternative engineering solutions, including detailed calculations and diagrams for client approval. Understand Design/IFC specifications and drawings to grasp the full scope of the project, ensuring compliance with specifications and schedule priorities. This includes generating and managing Requests for Information (RFIs) for the client. Utilize engineering software tools such as Dialux or Relux, Amtech Pro Design, Navisworks, BIM 360, and Procore. Review coordinated construction drawings and documentation, preparing and monitoring technical submittals for client approval. Examine specialist supplier packages to ensure they meet project specifications, industry standards, and design intentions. Develop and manage the procurement schedule in collaboration with the procurement team. Review the BCAR preliminary inspection plan and coordinate with the quality team. Qualifications and Skills: Level 7/8 Degree in Mechanical Engineering. At least 3 years of relevant industry experience preferred. Proficiency in IT skills, especially AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office. Strong time management and problem-solving abilities. Capability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to make informed decisions under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
