Job Description
Seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to perform maintenance and repairs on plant equipment, with a focus on continuous improvement and problem-solving.
Responsibilities
- Find and repair machine faults, and solve problems
- Maintain hydraulics and pneumatic systems
- Improve plant operations through continuous improvement
- Perform welding and fabrication maintenance
- Repair buildings and equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance on a scheduled basis
- Inspect, check, and replace bearings, seals, etc.
- Inspect and treat boiler water with proper chemicals
- Calibrate and repair pneumatic systems
- Maintain records of maintenance procedures
- Install new equipment and services during projects
- Replace and repair existing equipment as needed
- Read and follow blueprints and assembly instructions
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests

Education and Qualifications
- Mechanical Fitter apprenticeship qualifications (MAMF)
- Machine shop experience
- Computer literacy
