This role involves performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs on plant mechanical and electrical equipment, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs on plant mechanical and electrical equipment
- Conducting tasks such as laser aligning, balancing, leveling pumps, and welding repairs
- Troubleshooting and resolving mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues
- Assisting in plant shutdown work, including equipment teardown and inspection
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment by adhering to company safety policies
- Actively participating in training and support warehouse and operations personnel as needed
Requirements:
- Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, ideally with experience in power or industrial plants
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to use tools like meters, drill presses, and lathes
- Experience in welding, electricity, millwright, plumbing, or machining
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Trade qualification in a relevant field is a plus
- Knowledge of boilers, steam turbines, and material handling equipment would be beneficial
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Certifications in welding, electrical, or machinist work are desirable
