Job Description
A leading Construction and Materials group is seeking a Mechanical Fitter to execute maintenance tasks and ensure equipment operation in Westmeath.
The role involves executing corrective, planned, and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of equipment and plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing tasks such as welding, fabrication, alignments, and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform corrective, planned, and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Ensure high-quality standards and a "Right first time" approach to all tasks.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure adherence to safe work systems.
- Monitor equipment performance and maintain production levels.
- Complete and close out work orders in a timely manner.
- Participate in a callout rota and work overtime as required.
- Propose and implement improvements to current work practices.
Requirements:
- A Mechanical Fitting or Mechanical Automation Level 6 qualification.
- Minimum of 2 years of mechanical maintenance experience in a fixed-plant environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to proactively identify and resolve issues.

- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
