Experienced Mechanical Foreman sought for commercial projects in Dublin and Cork, requiring 3+ years' experience in a similar role and strong leadership skills.
Midland Heating and Plumbing Ltd. is a leading provider of mechanical services, with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects. We are currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Foreman to join our commercial division.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing commercial projects, managing site staff and subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with legal and practical requirements. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing day-to-day activities, including labour, materials, and subcontractors, to ensure timely completion of contracts.
- Collaborating with management to source and procure main plant requirements at the best price and in a timely manner.
- Leading on-site meetings and overseeing weekly progress targets, producing a monthly report for the Contracts Manager.
- Ensuring adherence to health and safety policies and procedures, and liaising with QS, Purchasing, and Accounts Departments.
- Developing a close working relationship with clients to progress projects to an agreed standard of handover.
Essential requirements include:
- Excellent verbal and communication skills.
- Industry knowledge and experience in a similar role for 3+ years.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and lead.
- Intermediate computer skills with an open mind to continuous upskilling.
- Full clean driver's license.
