The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of mechanical equipment and systems critical to the production process.
As a key member of our maintenance team the Mechanical Maintenance Technician will play a vital role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of mechanical systems within the facility.
Perform routine maintenance tasks on mechanical equipment, including but not limited to pumps, compressors, boilers, HVAC systems, and utilities.
Conduct inspections, troubleshoot issues, and diagnose mechanical problems to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation of equipment.
Participate in safety programs and adhere to established safety protocols to promote a safe working environment for oneself and colleagues.
This role will provide exposure to a wide range of expertise relating to pharmaceutical, life sciences, construction, and other sectors.
Skills and Requirements To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications: Time served in an engineering technical degree or diploma, or Solas advanced craft certification to level 6, or equivalent.
Minimum of 3 years' experience as a mechanical maintenance technician in a manufacturing or industrial environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including pumps, motors, valves, and piping systems, as well as their operation and maintenance requirements.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
39 hrs per week but there may be a requirement to transition into a shift role at a later stage.
