Seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician with expertise in boiler maintenance to ensure efficient and reliable operation of boilers and associated mechanical systems.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in boiler maintenance, a keen attention to detail, and a proactive approach to maintaining a safe and optimal working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs on various types of boilers to ensure their safe and efficient operation.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on various mechanical systems such as pumps, motors and HVAC equipment to guarantee smooth functionality.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and rectify issues related to boiler and mechanical system malfunctions, ensuring minimal downtime and operational disruptions.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, replacements, and equipment performance.
  • Generate reports highlighting maintenance work completed and recommendations for enhancements.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record as a Mechanical Maintenance Technician with a minimum of 5 years' experience post apprenticeship, demonstrating expertise in boiler maintenance within industrial or commercial environments.
  • RGI registered.
  • In-depth understanding of diverse boiler systems, their components, and mechanical equipment, coupled with a strong background in maintaining various mechanical systems.
  • Competency in executing maintenance tasks following safety guidelines and manufacturer specifications, encompassing troubleshooting, repair, and component replacement.
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical manuals, drawings, and schematics relevant to boilers and other mechanical systems.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to boiler maintenance and broader mechanical maintenance practices.
  • Vocational training, certifications, or coursework specialising in boiler maintenance or broader mechanical systems.
  • Experience working with different types of boilers (e.g., steam boilers, hot water boilers) and familiarity with diverse boiler technologies.
  • Previous involvement in the commercial and industrial sectors with a focus on boiler maintenance and additional mechanical systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
