Coldchain are specialists in Vehicle Temperature Control. Currently recruiting a garage operative who will be trained in air-conditioning, heating and refrigeration equipment installation, service and repair.
Job description
Coldchain manufacture temperature control equipment for a wide range of mobile applications. Coldchain customers use this equipment for the transport of chilled and frozen foods, vaccines, medicines and blood products. An opening exists to support the workshop in installing and maintaining this equipment.
This role involves the following:
- This job is primarily workshop based with the option for occasional off-site work.
- Work individually or as part of a team on projects in the workshop.
- Report to the service manager on repair requests and diagnostics.
- Manage vehicle care for customers.
- Use of workshop equipment in the correct manner.
- Record parts used and completion of job sheets.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment in the workshop.
Experience
Applicants must have experience of working on vehicles or agricultural equipment and have a strong interest/aptitude for mechanical engineering.
Experience of 12 volt DC vehicle electrics is a distinct advantage.
Applicants should have good problem and fault finding techniques.
Training
The successful candidate will receive ongoing training on various aspects in their role:
- Vehicle refrigeration equipment installation. Chilled, frozen and climate control temperature applications.
- Diesel burner heating systems for truck cab maintenance, diagnostic and repair.
- Truck cab air-conditioning installation, maintenance, diagnostic and repair.
Minimum Qualifications
- Leaving Cert or higher.
- Driving license preferred.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Basic computer and diagnostic software literacy.
- MUST HAVE PPS number and ready to work.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: €26,000.00-€34,000.00 per year
Additional pay:
- Performance bonus
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
