Mechanical Project Engineer - Biopharma Projects - Waterford Job Description Our client is a leading Mechanical and Electrical Engineering company in Ireland.
They have extensive experience delivering complex projects in a wide variety of industries ranging from Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, Medical Devices, Public Works, Industrial, and Commercial.
This position will initially be based in the Waterford area but thereafter you may be required to work in the south/southeast of the country depending on projects.
You will report directly to the Project Manager.
Responsibilities: Act as the project Engineering lead on site and primary point of contact for both the Main Contractor and Subcontractors.
Manage day-to-day Engineering scope, programme, and resources.
Develop junior Engineers in their role.
Oversee Submittal and Procurement process & LOG's.
Coordinate on site with Main Contractor and other trades including attending meetings as necessary.
Attend weekly meetings with Design Team / Main Contractor.
Develop positive relationships with all project stakeholders.
Assist Project Manager in reporting on project status.
Manage day-to-day subcontractors on site.
Implement policies and standards particularly in relation to Health & Safety and Quality I&TP.
Own Commissioning and Control strategy for the project.
Act as Commissioning Lead for the Project.
Assist in generating and uploading weekly progress reports with Project Manager.
Requirements Relevant 3rd level qualification.3-4 years' experience in a similar role.
Be results-driven with excellent communication skills.
Experience in technical submittals.
Experience in commissioning and handover procedures.
A proven strong work ethic.
Proven experience in successful projects.
Excellent communicator.
Ability to work on own initiative and with a team.
Package€40 K - €55 K based on experience and qualifications.
