Seeking a Mechanical Quantity Surveyor to manage project costs, ensure value, and compliance with financial objectives for a large-scale pharmaceutical project in Dublin.
We are looking for a talented and experienced Mechanical Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a site-based role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage project costs, ensuring all mechanical systems are delivered within budget and according to specification.
- Prepare, evaluate, and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Conduct site visits to assess progress, manage variations, and produce accurate valuations.
- Prepare detailed cost reports, forecasts, and cash flow statements for the project team.
- Handle subcontractor claims, resolve disputes, and manage final account settlements.
- Collaborate with site teams to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and project deadlines.
- Maintain accurate records of project financials, ensuring transparent cost tracking.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally with a mechanical or MEP background.
- Previous experience working on pharmaceutical or industrial projects is highly desirable.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Proficiency in cost management software (e.g., Cost X, Excel, MS Office).
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work on-site and within a team.
- Keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to managing project costs.
