Job Description
Our client, a top Irish mechanical engineering organisation, seeks a Quantity Surveyor with mechanical experience for a full-time role in Dublin, with occasional travel.
Key duties include:
- Preparing cost analyses based on architectural drawings, engineering estimates, and labour requirements.
- Developing cost plans for design teams, involving liaison with architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Creating tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
- Evaluating tenders and negotiating with contractors, as necessary.
- Controlling project stages within predetermined budgets and expenditures.
- Monitoring project progress and measuring variations in work during the contract.
- Working with the design team to ensure client requirements are met.
- Maintaining relationships with client representatives to support company activities.
- Representing the company at site meetings and other events.
Requirements:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical/Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience with a proven track record.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong financial and numeracy management skills.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- A clear understanding of building regulations and legal guidelines.
