Job Description

On Site are looking for a Mechanical Supervisor for a project in Dublin 3. Duration - 6 months Requirements - Trade Qualification / 3rd Level Engineering Qualification (Level 7 or above), Site Management experience, Safe Pass. Pay - €40/hour Hours - 7am - 4pm Mon-Thurs, 7am - 3pm Fri, 39 hours paid. 1 hour lunch break. Duties are as follows: * Commercial project, will be overseeing the works of Plumbers, Sheet metal Workers, BMS engineers etc, and reporting to the project manager * Coordination of programmed activities; * Coordinating and planning of resources including labour, materials and subcontractors * Supervision of subcontractors to ensure quality, safety and programme requirements are met; * Coordination of deliveries and crane lifts in conjunction with the main contractors; * Initial point of contact on site for subcontractors; * Issue of requests for information relative to site requirements as required; * Conduct regular safety inspections on all aspects of the work. * Issue non-conformance reports and corrective action requests; * Accept and organise deliveries * Attend site meetings as required (eg. safety, coordination, progress etc.) * Reporting on progress * Ensure safety documents and RAMS are received from subcontractors and signed off prior to start on site. Provide copies to the main contractor for filing on site. * Ensure all employees and subcontractors are inducted prior to commencing on site; * Implementation of risk assessments, safe work methods, quality control by subcontractors; * Conduct regular safety inspections on all aspects of the work. * Supervise and direct work to be carried out in a safe method; * Conduct regular toolbox talks, * Coordinate on-site activities with other trades (electrical, wall/ceiling contractor etc.) and liaise with them to organize new work areas and ensure smooth co-ordination * Liaise with sub-contractors on materials orders * Management of direct site staff and direction to designated work areas * Implement a weekly look-ahead plan to coordinate with other trades * Ensure the use of correct revision drawings for construction activities * Report variations and delays to the Project Manager * Take progress photos of works and share with Project Manager * Ensuring all work areas are completed and ready to be handed over * Compile any site documents required for project handover (eg. pipework pressure test certs, fire damper installation certs, etc.). * Organise all equipment and pipework, ductwork etc. to be labelled. * Produce hand marked up as-built drawings, so that they can be updated by a CAD operator
