Relocation package on offerThe CompanyOur Irish based client is a family-run eye care clinic, dedicated to providing patients with comprehensive medical and surgical eye care. With a deep-rooted commitment to vision health, they strive to meet all of their patient’s eye care needs, ranging from routine check-ups and updating glasses to surgical services like cataract surgery and eye injections. They embody the values of availability, expertise, and compassion, ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care and attention.Patient Load / Type / ClinicsThere are 2 clinics each day, am and pm. Doctors are expected to see 10 patients per clinic with clinic slots lasting 20 minutes. Patients are mixed between private and public, typical of a community ophthalmology clinic setting: glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration, etc. Patients are booked in advance, but urgent walk-ins are facilitated.Internal Services OfferedDoctors have access to OCT, OCT-A, and Visual Fields Analyser. They can refer patients internally in Medical Optics for YAG laser capsulotomy, intravitreal injections, minor procedures (chalazion removal, syringe and probe), and cataract surgery.AccommodationThey can provide an apartment for up to 5 months. While living in Dublin is expensive and finding accommodation can take a while, all doctors have accommodation that allows them to either drive or take the train.HoursThe working week is 40 hours, 5 days a week. Doctors are expected to undertake two four-hour clinical sessions per day with a break for lunch (8 hours in total).SalaryThe basic salary is €93,564 per annum (€7,797 per month). The bonus is based on the number of patients seen by the doctor. The doctor is paid 45% of the fee paid by the patient, with expected earnings in the region of €140,000 per annum before tax.
