Mental Health & Wellbeing Schools Coordinator

Jigsaw is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to coordinate the development, implementation, and monitoring of its 3-year programme of work to provide wellbeing and mental health supports for post-primary schools.

  • Full-time, fixed 3-year contract
  • 42 working weeks out of 52 per annum, with flexible working hours
  • Salary range: €42,000 - €60,320 per annum

Key Responsibilities:

  • Play a key role in the development, implementation, and monitoring of Jigsaw's national programme of work to provide wellbeing and mental health supports in post-primary schools
  • Work collaboratively with key partners to deploy Jigsaw's programme of supports, ensuring they complement other relevant supports available to post-primary schools nationally
  • Co-create eLearning courses and training with the eLearning Team
  • Develop and deliver online and in-person training opportunities for teachers, school staff, and parents with the Mental Health & Wellbeing Clinical Lead (Schools)
  • Collaborate with the Youth Voice and Engagement Team to ensure youth voice is central to Jigsaw's work with schools
  • Develop an annual work plan, monitoring engagement and participation of schools in Jigsaw's programme of work nationally
  • Produce written reports and presentations on the programme of work quarterly, annually, and/or as required

Requirements:

  • Third-level degree or master's qualification in health promotion, public health, or other relevant subject
  • Minimum 3 years' work experience in a role where mental health & wellbeing promotion in relevant education settings was a key responsibility
  • Experience of developing and delivering education and training programmes and initiatives in relevant health promotion or education settings
  • Excellent attention to detail and experience of developing educational content
  • Ability to produce work plans and progress reports
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Desirable Criteria:

  • Understanding of the issues impacting on the mental health and wellbeing of young people
  • Experience of working with school leaders, school staff, student support teams, students, and parents
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and targets
  • High tolerance for complexity and change
