We are now recruiting for an MEP Lead for a large Data Centre in Amsterdam.
Job Description:
- Lead the MEP aspects of multiple projects from planning through to commissioning in Amsterdam.
- Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and on-site teams to ensure timely progress, quality control, and adherence to Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).
- Ensure strict compliance with EHS protocols, maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Attend and lead daily progress meetings, design reviews, and project planning sessions.
- Monitor project schedules, proactively identifying and addressing potential delays in collaboration with your team.
- Utilize BIM 360 as the primary project management tool for document control, progress tracking, scheduling, and material planning.
- Facilitate effective communication across various trades to ensure seamless coordination, especially where MEP systems interface with one another.
- Collaborate with clients to ensure that project documentation is current and compliant with their requirements.
- Oversee the quality of MEP installations, ensuring that all systems are correctly installed, tested, and commissioned.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in MEP leadership roles on large-scale projects, preferably in sectors like data centers or pharmaceuticals.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and their integration.
- Proven experience with BIM 360 for project management, documentation, and coordination; familiarity with other tools like EDA or Procore is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret complex MEP and technical drawings.
- Strong commitment to QA and EHS standards.
- Experience managing subcontractors, supervisors, and on-site teams.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Dutch or other languages is a plus.
- Willingness to work on-site in Amsterdam for the duration of the project.
