Skilled MEP Project Manager sought to oversee building services projects in Cork, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and regulatory compliance.

Access Talent Group is supporting an international consultancy seeking a skilled MEP Project Manager to join their team in Cork. As a MEP Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the projects from a Building Services perspective, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all regulations and quality standards. You will play a key role in managing the construction process, resolving technical issues, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the building services, including HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and other essential services. The Building Services Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining a safe, comfortable, and compliant environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the maintenance and operation of all building services including HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and other critical systems.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure the proper functioning and longevity of building services equipment.
  • Conduct regular inspections and assessments of building services to identify and address any issues or potential problems.
  • Manage and oversee a team of maintenance staff, ensuring they are properly trained and equipped to carry out their duties effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards pertaining to building services and facilities maintenance.
  • Collaborate with other departmental managers to coordinate maintenance activities with minimal disruption to healthcare operations.
  • Manage the budget for building services maintenance and strive to identify cost-effective solutions and improvements.
  • Respond promptly to any building services emergencies and implement contingency plans as necessary.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and technological advancements in building services management.

Preferred Candidate Experience:

  • Proven experience in building services management, preferably in a healthcare or similar regulated environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and other building services.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team of maintenance staff.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Solid understanding of regulatory requirements and standards related to building services and facilities maintenance.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively while seeking opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements.
  • Relevant professional qualifications or certifications in building services management or a related field.

Current project has a contract for the next 18 months, with guaranteed work following with new projects in the city.
