Job Description

Seeking a skilled MEP Project Manager to oversee projects from a Building Services perspective, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and regulatory compliance. Key responsibilities include managing construction processes, resolving technical issues, and maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and other building services, as well as strong leadership and problem-solving skills. The position requires a proven track record in building services management, preferably in a healthcare or regulated environment. The current project has a contract for 18 months, with guaranteed work following new projects in the city. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining a safe, comfortable, and compliant environment for patients, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of building services, including HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and other essential services. Responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the maintenance and operation of building services, including HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and other critical systems.
  • Developing and implementing maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure the proper functioning and longevity of building services equipment.
  • Conducting regular inspections and assessments of building services to identify and address any issues or potential problems.
  • Managing and overseeing a team of maintenance staff, ensuring they are properly trained and equipped to carry out their duties effectively.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards pertaining to building services and facilities maintenance.
  • Collaborating with other departmental managers to coordinate maintenance activities with minimal disruption to healthcare operations.
  • Managing the budget for building services maintenance and striving to identify cost-effective solutions and improvements.
  • Responding promptly to building services emergencies and implementing contingency plans as necessary.
  • Staying updated on industry best practices and technological advancements in building services management.
Preferred candidate experience includes proven experience in building services management, preferably in a healthcare or regulated environment, in-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and other building services, strong leadership and management skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and solid understanding of regulatory requirements and standards related to building services and facilities maintenance.
