Job Specification: Metal Fabricator at Ennis Iron Works Limited Position: Metal Fabricator Company: Ennis Iron Works Limited Location: Co. Clare Type: Full-Time Job Overview: Ennis Iron Works Limited is seeking a skilled and experienced Metal Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in MIG and TIG welding with both mild and stainless steel, and most importantly, experience in reading and interpreting shop drawings for the fabrication of metal products. Key Responsibilities: Fabrication and Welding: Welding: Perform MIG and TIG welding on mild and stainless steel materials according to project specifications. Fabrication: Accurately fabricate products based on shop drawings, ensuring all work meets the required quality standards. Machinery Operation: Set up, operate, and maintain all fabrication and welding equipment safely and efficiently. Quality and Compliance: Quality Standards: Complete all orders and manufacture all products to the highest quality standards as directed by the Workshop Manager, Production Foreman, or Directors. Compliance: Follow documented welding procedures and all instructions from the Workshop Manager or Production Foreman. Documentation: Complete all required production records in a timely manner, including real-time recording of steel heat marks on the Cutting List for traceability. Non-Conformance Reporting: Promptly report any product or raw material non-conformances to the relevant management. Safety and Maintenance: Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety instructions, ensuring that personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn at all times and that the workplace is free of unnecessary hazards. Incident Reporting: Report all incidents, accidents, or safety concerns to company management immediately. Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all equipment is cleaned and maintained regularly, especially at the end of each shift. Training and Development: Continuous Improvement: Participate in ongoing training as deemed necessary for the improvement of skills and job performance. Management Reviews: Attend management review meetings as required and assist in the resolution of any non-conformances related to your work or area. Requirements: Experience: Proven experience in MIG and TIG welding with both mild and stainless steel. Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret shop drawings accurately for product fabrication. Safety-Oriented: Strong commitment to safety protocols and procedures. Attention to Detail: High attention to detail in fabricating products to exact specifications. Team Player: Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and management. Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in a workshop environment. Preferred Qualifications: Certifications in welding or metal fabrication. Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
