Job Description
QC Laboratory Technician sought for 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave in a leading biopharmaceutical company in Galway, Ireland.
This role involves providing microbiological support to the site, carrying out investigations on product failures and customer complaints, and ensuring QC meets current Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) requirements.
Job Description:
- Providing microbiological support to the site
- Carrying out investigations on product failures and customer complaints
- Ensuring QC meets current Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) requirements
- Developing, maintaining, updating and issuing microbiological methods, specifications and SOPs
- Auditing and reviewing microbiology test results
- Testing of QC samples provided by the Production facility
- Calibration, maintenance and operation of lab instrumentation
- Record control and documentation of work performed
- Maintenance of controlled organisms
- Additional routine tests
Requirements:
- Degree in Microbiology or related science discipline
- Working knowledge of cGMP and ISO standards relevant to Quality Control procedures, documentation, and testing
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
