Job Description
The Monitoring Solutions Specialist will design, deploy, and manage advanced observability solutions using ITRS Geneos, Dynatrace, and Splunk. The role requires expertise in scripting, proactive system monitoring, and incident response, along with collaboration across teams to ensure system performance and stability. A background in production support and a readiness to explore new tools are key.
Tech Stack:
- Monitoring Tools: ITRS Geneos, Dynatrace, Splunk
- Scripting: Python, Shell scripting
- Data Analysis: SQL
- Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud (Preferred)
- Additional Tools: Datadog, AppDynamics (Preferred)
- DevOps Practices: Familiarity preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage observability frameworks using ITRS Geneos, Dynatrace, and Splunk.
- Customize dashboards, alerts, and reports to meet stakeholder needs.
- Automate observability processes using Python and Shell scripting.
- Perform SQL-based data analysis to support monitoring efforts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive observability.
- Analyze data to identify performance trends and suggest improvements.
- Stay updated on and evaluate emerging observability tools and best practices.
- Document processes and train team members on observability best practices.
- Provide production support and incident management as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- Strong experience with ITRS Geneos, Dynatrace, Splunk, and scripting languages.
- Solid understanding of network protocols, OS, and application architectures.
- Effective problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience in incident management and production support is a plus.
Preferred:
- Certifications in ITRS Geneos, Dynatrace, or Splunk.
- Experience with cloud platforms and additional observability tools.
