Job Title: Motor Assessor / Desktop Engineer Location County Meath Full job description Duties: The Role will involve the assessment of Private & Commercial Motor Vehicles for collision damage, roadworthiness, and mechanical defects. Prepare Reports based on your Inspection in accordance with our SLAs (Service Level Agreements) Negotiate and Agree Repair Costs and Negotiate Total Loss Settlements etc. Deal with Clients & Vehicle Owners on a daily basis Desktop Assessments Qualifications: Advanced/Higher Certificate Motor Vehicle Technician Member of IAEA (Institute of Automotive Engineer Assessors) or working towards Experience: Experience in a similar role essential Engineering: minimum 1 year Knowledge of Motor Vehicle Repair in Private and Commercial Body Repair Ability to negotiate and agree repair costs and negotiate total loss settlements Experience in Vehicle Construction & Repair Methodology Understanding of Insurance Principals Competent in the use of Microsoft Office and Repair Estimating Systems (Audatex) Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills Applicants must be organised, motivated, honest, reliable and self-disciplined Must have the ability to multi-task and work on own initiative in a busy environment Dealing with Clients, Colleagues, Vehicle Owners in a Professional manner at all times is a prerequisite.
