Job Description

North-Link M1 Ltd is the contractor with responsibility for the operation and maintenance of the M1 Motorway from Junction 7, Julianstown to Junction 18, Dundalk, including the Mary McAleese Boyne Cable Bridge at Drogheda. We are seeking a second Civils Engineer to join our team, based at the Toll Plaza in Julianstown. This position is key to the effective management and maintenance of this project on behalf of Celtic Road Group (CRG). This role can be performed on a hybrid basis upon successful completion of a probationary period. Role and Responsibilities Program, undertake and report on safety patrols and detailed inspections. Maintain records of all inspections. Manage and maintain the computerised management system, RMMS. Identify and categorise defects and produce Works Orders for the repair of these defects as well as all cyclic activities. Ensure all defects are repaired in accordance with the contract timescales. Obtaining quotations and preparing work proposals. Manage and supervise subcontractor works. Assist in the inspection and maintenance of structures. Write and revise company procedures and method statements. Liaise with Local Authorities, Gardai, sub-contractors, and public and client agents as required. Deal with 3rd party claims for damage to the Project Road. Undertake winter maintenance duties. Attend and assist in contract audits. Other duties as directed. Profile This is a full-time key role with a competitive salary/package. Suitable Candidates will have a minimum level 7 Civil Engineering qualification with a minimum of 5+ years experience – ideally on roads/transport projects with mixed experience of site supervision/design reviews/project coordination and have the proven ability to deliver on challenging and multidisciplinary tasks.
