Job Description

Seeking a National Account Manager to manage key accounts within the consumer category, developing growth customer plans and enhancing customer satisfaction.

Reporting to the Senior Customer Manager, you will oversee contracting, execution of budgeted sales volumes, margin achievement, and the commercialisation of growth volumes across your portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic customer account plans to drive sales in the Chilled & Dairy categories for both branded and own-label products.
  • Negotiate and influence commercial processes to establish contracts, Joint Business Plans (JBPs), promotional plans, and new product development (NPD).
  • Champion the customer, fostering a culture of customer focus across the business through cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ensure all customer projects meet or exceed expectations for both customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Analyse performance and stay ahead of FMCG trends to provide actionable insights for your accounts.
  • Monitor key performance metrics, including NPD listings, distribution optimization, promotions, product mix, volume, revenue, and margin.
  • Facilitate effective communication across departments to keep all teams informed about own-label projects impacting the business.
  • Manage administrative tasks related to pricing, promotions, and financial expenditures to stay within budget.

Requirements:

  • Experience with branded or own-label products; exposure to both is a bonus.
  • Proven track record in growing accounts and relationships successfully.
  • Strong attention to detail, negotiation skills, organisation, and presentation abilities.
  • Experience managing P&L, JBPs, and promotional activities.
  • Excellent understanding of the domestic retail industry.
  • Self-motivated with high energy, drive, and passion.
  • Quick decision-maker with a natural curiosity to drive change.
