Job Description

Manage the sales team for a major vaping and tobacco account, driving sales and brand visibility across all channels.

We are seeking a highly motivated and organised Account Controller to manage our clients Sales Team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overall performance of the account in line with the clients commercial strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Engagement & Management:
    • Work collaboratively with the client to ensure PRL team and overall contract development in line with strategic priorities.
    • Conduct regular review meetings cross-functionally with the company stakeholders.
  • Planning and Execution:
    • Engage with the relevant stakeholders to design and implement campaign activities, realistic to the available resource, within the trade.
    • Form part of the overall strategy group in relation to Brand Positioning, Offering and Price.
  • Performance Analysis & Management:
    • Collaborate with your FSMs to develop relevant and achievable team KPIs that will focus on Volume Sales, Distribution, Planograms, Equipment and Promotions, strategically and specifically targeted towards portfolio categories.
    • Periodically review volume, market volume, and New Product Introductions performance to identify improvement areas and/or new opportunities.
  • People Management:
    • Ensure the FSMs & Sales Team have access to relevant and actionable data to enable data driven decision making and transparency of individual performance.
    • Work with the FSMs to continuously develop the induction and ongoing training for the sales team to ensure it is relevant and Operational Responsibilities.

Operational Responsibilities:

  • Provide continuous Improvement and Innovation of Service to optimise approach to changing Markets and challenges.
  • Have a working knowledge of the accounts budget to allow for decision-making informed by commercial impact and aid with management where applicable.
  • Management of POS holding.

Required Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role (Area Manager/National Sales Manager/Account Management level) in the FMCG industry.
  • Demonstrated capability and experience in managing teams of people effectively.
  • Experience in Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in business or a related field.
  • Experience working directly for an FMCG brand.
  • Knowledge of project management tools and software.

  • Salary: €50- €55 K DOE
