Network and Infrastructure IT Specialist required to provide technical expertise and support to ensure the smooth operation of network and server infrastructure.
Our Client is seeking an experienced IT Specialist to join their IT Department in Meath, providing a unique opportunity to gain excellent career experience in a well-established company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain network and server infrastructure roadmaps to ensure alignment with business objectives
- Troubleshoot complex network and server infrastructure issues to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency
- Ensure network and server infrastructure is up-to-date with the latest security patches to prevent vulnerabilities
- Develop and implement disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in the event of an incident
- Monitor network and server infrastructure capacity to advise on upgrades and improvements
- Provide technical expertise to project teams to assess technical requirements and ensure resource planning
- Provide technical support to end-users to resolve queries and issues
- Perform other related duties as required by your supervisor
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related discipline
- At least 3 years' experience in a similar role
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification is an advantage
- Experience working with Cisco or HPE network switches
- Experience working with Cisco Wireless platforms is an advantage
- Familiarity with Virtualisation Environments (VMWare, Hyper V)
- Familiarity with managing Windows Servers
- Experience working in an IT Department
- Strong problem-solving capabilities
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
Working Hours:
- Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm
