Job Description
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a cloud computing platform that powers businesses worldwide, and we're looking for someone to join our team as an Infrastructure Delivery Edge Technician. In this role, you'll be responsible for triaging and repairing data center fiber optic cabling, systems, and network hardware, troubleshooting network installation and configuration issues, and coordinating remote hands for new capacity installations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Triage and repair data center fiber optic cabling, systems, and network hardware
- Troubleshoot network installation and configuration issues
- Coordinate remote hands for new capacity installations
- Resolve data center facility issues
- Coordinate remote hands and eyes for any data center network issues
- Participate in small to mid-size projects creating or expanding data centers
- Build relationships with remote facilities to ensure swift response times to events
- Perform site audits to ensure safety and quality meets standards
- Improve all Operational Processes and Security with each site
- Decommission cabling and network hardware as needed

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree (BA or BS) in computer science or management or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of Linux, UNIX administration
- 2+ years experience in triaging and repairing data center fiber optic cabling, systems, and network hardware with proven expertise in troubleshooting network installation and configuration issues
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven ability to manage customer relationships and resolve issues effectively
- Understanding of distributed and service-oriented architectures
