Amazon is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Infrastructure Delivery Edge Technician to provide hands-on support for its Data Center locations in the Asia Pacific region. Summary: Amazon is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Infrastructure Delivery Edge Technician to provide hands-on support for its Data Center locations in the Asia Pacific region. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards for data center cabling and maintenance, troubleshooting network issues, and building relationships with internal and external teams/customers. Responsibilities: * Troubleshoot and repair data center fiber optic cabling/systems and network hardware * Troubleshoot network installation and configuration issues * Coordinating remote hands for new capacity installations * Resolving data center facility issues * Participating in small to mid-size projects creating or expanding data centers * Building relationships with remote facilities to ensure swift response times to events * Performing site audits to ensure safety and quality meets standards * Improving all Operational Processes and Security with each site * Decommissioning cabling and network hardware as needed A day in the life of an Infrastructure Delivery Edge Technician: * Project planning and on-site project execution * Obtaining project requirements and tailoring for the specifics of the project * On-site work involves monitoring vendors and configuring networking equipment with support of a remote networking team About AWS: * AWS is the world's most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform * We pioneered cloud computing and never stopped innovating * Our employee-led affinity groups foster a culture of inclusion that empowers us to be proud of our differences * We're continuously raising our performance bar as we strive to become Earth's Best Employer Requirements: * Bachelor's Degree (BA or BS) in computer science or management or equivalent experience * 2+ years of Linux, UNIX administration * 2+ years experience in triaging and repairing data center fiber optic cabling, systems, and network hardware with proven expertise in troubleshooting network installation and configuration issues * Proven ability to manage customer relationships and resolve issues effectively Preferred Qualifications: * Understanding of distributed and service-oriented architectures * Basic understanding of project management principles, with a strong interest in improving project execution
