Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Network Development Engineer to design, deploy, and support networks that set the global standard for performance, availability, security, and cost.
The Amazon Robotics Infrastructure Engineering team is responsible for building and operating the network and services that enable Amazon Fulfillment Centers, Middle and Last Mile facilities, including Air hubs, and Prime Now to deliver packages to Amazon retail customers.
As a Network Development Engineer, you will create next-generation network products, automate networks from multiple diverse vendors, and maximize reliability while minimizing human touch in deployment and maintenance activities.
You will work closely with IT support teams to ensure that simplicity in product designs translates to supportability in the field, and collaborate with multiple technical teams at Amazon in different locations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Writing code for demanding, cross-functional networking projects
- Functionally decomposing complex problems into simple, straight-forward solutions
- Understanding system inter-dependencies and limitations
- Effectively researching and benchmarking Amazon technology against other competing systems in the industry
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience leading large projects, an expert-level technical background in current networking technologies, and the ability to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment.
