We are seeking a Network Engineer to join our IT team at a time of significant digital transformation.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring our network and security infrastructure is fit-for-purpose for our customers and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting with planning and implementing network solutions for new and existing sites, including LAN, WAN, wireless, and security components and active directory.
- Solving and troubleshooting network issues, such as connectivity, performance, and security.
- Monitoring and reporting on network performance and availability using various tools and methods.
- Developing network documentation, policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Collaborating with vendors, suppliers, and service providers for network equipment and services.
- Delivering technical support and guidance to end users and other IT colleagues.
- Upskilling regularly on the latest network technologies and trends.
Requirements:
- Relevant on-the-job experience gained in a large multi-site organisation and/or relevant qualification (e.g. computer science or engineering).
- Experience or knowledge of network design, installation, configuration, and administration, using various protocols and devices.
- Familiarity with network security principles and practices, such as firewalls, VPNs, encryption, and authentication.
- Awareness of retail industry standards and regulations, such as PCI-DSS, GDPR, and ISO 27001.
