Stelfox is partnering with a new employer in Ireland who is gradually building an IT tech hub from Galway. The company are a leading international BPO provider, servicing tier 1 global enterprise clients who rely on their contact center services and solutions as well as other outsourced functions. As an international player, the company build & run multiple datacenters and interconnected networks and general IT infrastructure that operate a 24x7x365 global contact center solution support multiple global locations. For this new team in Galway, we are looking to recruit a Network Engineer who has both operational and design/deployment experience of global scale or complex regional networks (Backbone, Edge etc) and a strong profile working with Firewalls (Fortinet). This role will allow the candidate to come in with a fresh pair of eyes and get involved in both the design and scaling of networks as well as review firewalls/security policies. This is a hands-on role and may require some travel to international locations if required at certain stages. Preferred skills & experience: Relevant degree in IT, Networking, Computer science or equivalent (however hands-on experience is valued just as much as qualifications). 5-7 years working as a Network engineer across network development, deployment and operations. Strong expertises in Firewall / Network security - preferably Fortinet firewalls). Hands-on expeience with major network devices like Cisco, Juniper etc Strong knowledge of network protocols including TCP/IP, BDP, OSPF, QoS, MPLS-related technologies etc. Good understanding of network monitoring protocols/tools such SNMP, Netflow and Telemetry.
