Role: My client is a leading managed security service provider based in Dublin and is seeking a Junior Network Engineer to join their dynamic team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies, including Cisco switches, Cisco ISE, and Fortinet firewalls. Responsibilities: Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure network infrastructure for clients Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco switches, ensuring optimal network performance Collaborate with senior engineers to develop and enforce network security policies Support the implementation and management of Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) for network access control Monitor network traffic, identify security vulnerabilities, and promptly respond to incidents Work closely with clients to understand their network requirements and provide technical support as needed Assist in the deployment and management of Fortinet firewalls, including rule configuration and troubleshooting Qualifications: Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Network Engineer or similar CCNA certification required, any additional Cisco certifications are a plus. Strong knowledge and experience in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco switches (Catalyst series) and routers (IOS) Familiarity with network protocols such as TCP/IP, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP). Experience with Cisco ISE for network access control and identity management. Knowledge of Fortinet firewalls or other firewall technologies is preferred Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively Benefits: Competitive salary package commensurate with qualifications and experience.
