Job Description
We’re seeking a Network Production Engineer to join our Edge Network Engineering team, responsible for designing global IP backbone infrastructure, collaborating with partner teams, and championing innovation.
The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of network engineering experience, 1+ years of coding experience in higher-level languages, and experience with network device configuration and protocols like BGP, OSPF, or ISIS.
Responsibilities:
- Design, test, manage, and maintain multi-vendor, multi-protocol network infrastructure.
- Write and review code, develop documentation, and debug issues.
- Develop audits and checks to establish network health.
- Maintain vendor relationships and drive roadmap development.
- Define SLAs and implement metric collections and reporting.
- Analyze data to diagnose network issues.
- Participate in on-call rotations and escalate service incidents.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of network engineering experience.
- 1+ years of coding experience in higher-level languages.
- Experience with network device configuration and protocols.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in network design or architecture.
- Experience with MPLS, RSVP-TE, and IS-IS TE.
- Experience with carrier-grade backbone routing and traffic engineering.
- Experience writing code to automate network deployments.
