Network Engineer Opportunity
Network Engineer sought to join a team responsible for the end-to-end health of Meta's backbone networks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network engineering, software development, and automation.
- Build tools and automate processes to efficiently scale network mitigation and performance monitoring.
- Investigate long-term trends and identify risks in the backbone network.
- Develop innovative solutions to improve network monitoring and reliability.
- Collaborate with the team to drive project execution and growth.
Responsibilities
- Write and review code, develop documentation and capacity plans, and debug complex network issues.
- Participate in a weekly on-call rotation and serve as an escalation contact for service incidents.
- Analyze data to diagnose and identify root causes of network issues.
- Manage and maintain multi-vendor, multi-protocol backbone and edge networks.
- Define, develop, and optimize automated network monitoring systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or relevant technical field.
- 4+ years of experience coding in higher-level languages (e.g., Python, C++, Go, etc.).
- 5+ years of experience in one or more of BGP, MPLS, ISIS, or similar routing protocols.
