Job Description
Cloud Support Engineer at Amazon Web Services: Learn groundbreaking technologies, apply advanced troubleshooting techniques, and interact with leading engineers. As a Cloud Ambassador, arm customers with required tools and tactics to get the most out of their Product and Support investment. You will also have the opportunity to write tutorials, how-to videos, and other technical articles for the developer community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to provide unique solutions to customers' individual needs.
- Interact with leading engineers around the world.
- Partner with Amazon Web Services teams to help reproduce and resolve customer issues.
- Drive customer communication during critical events.
- Drive projects that improve support-related processes and customers' technical support experience.
- Write tutorials, how-to videos, and other technical articles for the developer community.
Basic Qualifications:
- 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Advanced knowledge/experience on troubleshooting networking issues using several tools.
- Knowledge/experience of network security.
- Knowledge managing domain transfers, records and DNS security.
- Operating Systems knowledge oriented to maintenance and administrative purposes.
- Networking and troubleshooting knowledge.
- Knowledge/experience monitoring IT services and good command of associated technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge in configuring virtual server environments.
- Knowledge in configuring and supporting devices such as Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, SonicWALL, Checkpoint, Palo Alto etc.
- Knowledge managing full application stacks from the OS up through custom applications.
- Knowledge configuring software-based Load Balancing solutions.
- Knowledge with end to end application monitoring, tracing and alerting using tools like CloudWatch, Grafana, Datadog, Prometheus etc.
- Understanding of security best practices.
- Understanding of distributed computing environments and methodologies.
