Cloud Support Engineer

Amazon Web Services is seeking a Cloud Support Engineer to assist a global list of companies and developers in leveraging the company's growing set of services and features to run their mission-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Learn and use groundbreaking technologies to provide unique solutions to customers' individual needs.
  • Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to resolve complex customer problems that may span multiple AWS services.
  • Partner with Amazon Web Services teams to help reproduce and resolve customer issues.
  • Drive customer communication during critical events and projects that improve support-related processes and customers' technical support experience.
  • Write tutorials, how-to videos, and other technical articles for the developer community.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in troubleshooting networking issues using several tools.
  • Advanced knowledge/experience of network security, DNS security, and operating systems.
  • Knowledge of networking and troubleshooting, including HTTP, TCP/IP, DNS, Routing and Switching, Load Balancing.
  • Good command of associated technologies for monitoring IT services.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge in configuring virtual server environments and software-based Load Balancing solutions.
  • Knowledge in managing full application stacks from the OS up through custom applications.
  • Understanding of security best practices and distributed computing environments and methodologies.
