Job Description

Sales and Activity Management: Seek, Quote and Convert quotations for new commercial clients. Meet challenging income acquisition and referral targets set. Assist in achieving the overall objectives of the Commercial Lines New Business Team. Comply with all relevant compliance legislation. Manage aged debt and premium collection. Comply with all Management Audit Requirements. Ensure agreed processes are followed in all matters. Maintain an excellent team work ethic. Customer Relationship Management: Build effective working relationships with all prospective clients in a short space of time by establishing trust, anticipating needs, sharing information and meeting commitments. Customer Service: Portray a professional image to exceed customer service standards. Take personal responsibility for delivering the highest level of accuracy and quality in your work. Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Business Development Director (Dublin). Work within a collaborative team environment. Assist in achieving the overall objectives of the Commercial Lines New Business Team. Compliance: Work with the Business Development Director (Broking) and Compliance Teams in ensuring that quality of file records meets prescribed standards. Requirements: Candidate must demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment with a high level of energy. Ability to deal with and convert larger more complex commercial risks into clients. Strong communication skills are essential. An aptitude for selling and being flexible to meet tight deadlines. Demonstrate good technical & product knowledge. Excellent negotiation skills and an understanding how best to negotiate between price and risk. Possess a positive, can do attitude with the ability to adapt to and embrace change. Attention to detail. Motivated, self-starter who will work on their own initiative and appreciate the regulatory nature of the business. An enthusiastic and flexible approach, along with demonstrated attention to detail. The ability to prioritise workloads and adapt to unforeseen events. A good degree of personal organisation and a structured approach to time and resource management. Strong IT and organisational skills. CIP qualified as a minimum and studying towards the ACII. Compliant with the Central Bank’s Minimum Competency Code and Fitness & Probity. Person Specification: Previous experience in a similar role. Significant technical insurance knowledge. Proficient in Office, including Outlook, Word & Excel. Ability to develop relationships with insurers and clients in a limited time frame. Willingness to learn & develop. Strong work ethic.
