Accountant sought to support finance team in low-carbon energy transition, with strong technical accounting skills and experience in audit and reporting.
About the Company: My client is a leading organisation in the transition to low-carbon energy, seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Accountant to join their finance team.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Period close, consolidation and reconciliation activities at Group and Business Unit level.
- Preparation of annual statutory financial statements and Group annual and interim reports.
- Co-ordination of the annual audit process, engagement with external auditors and delivery of outputs to key internal and external stakeholders.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and customers.
- Delivery of continuous improvement initiatives and various projects within the Accounting & Reporting function.
- Providing technical accounting support to Corporate and Business Units.
- Monitoring accounting (IFRS), technical and commercial developments and advising on their impact on the financial close of the Group.
- Partnering with the Business on accounting related matters.
**Requirements:**
- Newly qualified/1+ year PQE with recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA).
- High level of technical accounting competency and strong analytical skills.
- Strong IT skills - knowledge of SAP would be preferable.
- Highly motivated able to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
