Financial Accountant role with Sanderson, a professional services group, for a 13-month fixed term contract, providing financial support and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide financial support to local management team, assisting in annual budget creation.
- Collaborate with local teams to ensure effective cost control and accurate accounting practices.
- Work with local management and central credit control to manage debt effectively.
- Analyse financial data, focusing on key performance indicators related to billing and cash flow.
- Generate and analyse commercial data to identify trends and inform management decisions.
- Maintain local accounting records, processing transactions and journals accurately.
- Monitor internal control systems to ensure compliance with Group accounting policies.
- Assist in local tax and regulatory reporting, including VAT, and liaise with external auditors.
- Aid in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly re-forecasts.
- Support the local team in financial management activities.
- Assist in bill production, ensuring compliance with legal and tax requirements.
- Conduct analysis of credit notes and provide root cause analysis.
- Ensure accurate posting of all accounting transactions.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA) with Big 4 training.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, particularly in dashboard creation.
- Experience in finance within an international organisation is desirable.
- Strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards and local accounting regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in English.
