Job Title: Night Porter - Part Time
The Rose Hotel is a 4-star hotel located in Co. Kerry, Ireland, offering a range of amenities and services to its guests. We are currently seeking a Night Porter to join our team on a part-time basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a high level of safety and security within the hotel
- Ensure the smooth running of the front office desk during your shift
- Follow night audit procedures and generate relevant reports
- Process transactions, manage cash handling, and ensure accurate reporting
- Provide exceptional customer service to guests, responding to queries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
- Ensure the lobby and desk area are clean and tidy during your shift
- Wake guests as requested, recording and executing wake-up calls
- Carry out guest check-in and check-out procedures
- Process payments and manage cash handling
- Answer telephone calls efficiently and communicate with relevant departments
- Complete end-of-shift cash up and maintain accurate records
- Be familiar with hotel promotions and local attractions, providing recommendations to guests
- Assist with meeting room setup and provide out-of-hours food and beverage service
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Night Porter in a similar establishment is an advantage
- Basic computer knowledge is required
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Fluent English language skills, both written and oral
- Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays

This role may be part-time for the winter months, with the possibility of increasing to full-time from March onwards. We do not provide accommodation, but may be able to assist with finding a place.
