NPI Engineer
The client is looking for an experienced New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineer to join the Production Department based in Dublin.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop NPI project plans and collaborate with stakeholders to identify resource requirements for the manufacturing processes
- Plan materials and resource requirements throughout the product development process
- Form a technical link between the design/test/production teams and contract manufacturers
- Process internal information such as BOM's into a documentation package for the external contract manufacturer using the ERN and ECO processes
- Manage and oversee the transfer of products from design through to production including prototype and preseries builds
- Maintain product manufacturing documentation and information throughout the product life cycle
- Ensure effective execution of projects according to required policies, procedures and customer requirements
- Monitor and communicate the status of all new products by attending meetings, product development SCRUMS and updating documentation
- Travel to external contract manufacturing sites to support product development processes
Key Skills:
- Must have experience working with a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
- Excellent project management skills and ability to adapt to changes
- Ability to work on own initiative with minimum supervision
Desirable Skills:
- Ideally would have experience in the Electronics industry
- Experience with SAP / SAP Business One or equivalent
- Previous ISO experience an advantage
Qualifications & Experience:
- Must hold a Degree in Electronic/Mechatronic/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience, manufacturing industry experience desirable
- Full clean driver's license and own vehicle
