Job Description

**Clinical Lead for Governance in Folds Housing with Care Schemes** This role is responsible for ensuring clear lines of clinical accountability across our Care Services, exercising high levels of judgement, discretion and guidance in the delivery of housing with care services within a clinical governance framework. **Key Responsibilities:** * Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance residents' safety and overall outcomes * Provide specialist expertise and advice on the care of older people * Ensure safe practice in medication management and prevent, detect, communicate and learn from adverse incidents and near misses * Develop and deliver customized training programmes to colleagues in accordance with the clinical needs of Fold Housing * Monitor and improve standards through residents' feedback, scheme audit, evidence-based practices and teaching * Contribute to the management and investigation of cases regarding poor clinical practices * Perform clinical audits in accordance with HIQA requirements * Provide nursing leadership within the housing schemes * Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote best practices and ensure consistent quality of care * Develop and implement strategies and systems for the continual improvement of services, including clinical governance, risk management, health and safety and resident care and experience * Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions * Participate in HIQA inspections and audits, prepare necessary documentation and reports * Communicate effectively with residents, colleagues and other related personnel * Use and maximize the organization's IT and communication systems * Compile legible, coherent and well-constructed written reports * Develop and implement systems to monitor the quality of medication practice through audit and measurement of clinical risk, complaints, benchmarking and ensure changes to practice are introduced and monitored where appropriate * Act as a change agent, developing clinically effective practice through the effective utilisation and integration of evidence **Requirements:** * High levels of judgement, discretion and guidance in the delivery of housing with care services * Ability to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives * Specialist expertise and advice on the care of older people * Ability to ensure safe practice in medication management * Ability to develop and deliver customized training programmes * Ability to monitor and improve standards * Ability to contribute to the management and investigation of cases regarding poor clinical practices * Ability to perform clinical audits in accordance with HIQA requirements * Ability to provide nursing leadership within the housing schemes * Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams * Ability to develop and implement strategies and systems for the continual improvement of services * Ability to conduct regular audits and assessments * Ability to communicate effectively with residents, colleagues and other related personnel * Ability to use and maximize the organization's IT and communication systems * Ability to compile legible, coherent and well-constructed written reports * Ability to develop and implement systems to monitor the quality of medication practice * Ability to act as a change agent, developing clinically effective practice through the effective utilisation and integration of evidence **Folds Housing with Care Schemes** is a leading provider of housing with care services, committed to delivering high-quality care and support to residents.
