Job Description
Occupational Health Nurse required for a permanent position at a Biopharmaceutical company in Limerick, Ireland.
Design, implement, and manage occupational health programs and services to promote employee health, safety, and wellbeing.
Key responsibilities include:
- Implementing and providing a comprehensive range of occupational health & well-being services
- Overseeing and managing administrative and operational activities of occupational health services
- Promoting and providing best practice in healthcare services to employees
- Assuring compliance with regulatory requirements related to clinical operations
- Securing and developing medical records, equipment, and programs related to occupational health services
- Implementing an occupational health software system to ensure compliance and meet business needs
- Maintaining employee and medical confidentiality
- Developing and reviewing Occupational Health Policies and Procedures
- Working in a multi-disciplinary team to promote employee health, safety, and wellbeing
- Arranging and delivering health surveillance programs
- Interpreting results and providing regular trending analysis to management
- Participating in incident/accident investigation and ensuring occupational health standards are maintained
- Planning and coordinating wellness and health promotion programs and facilities
- Managing and coordinating First Aid Programs
Requirements:
- Recognised qualification in Occupational Health and Safety
- Registered General Nurse with a valid NMBI registration
- Minimum 3 years post-registration OH experience and 1 year in a manufacturing/pharmaceutical setting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent report writing and IT skills
- Competency in audiometry, spirometry, vision screening, phlebotomy, VDU, ergonomics & administration of vaccines
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Strong team member with proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
