An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Occupational Health Nurse to join the dedicated Health, Safety Environmental (HSE) Team and lead the establishment of a new occupational health department at a Limerick based start up Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing site. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the occupational health programs and services that promote the health, safety and wellbeing of our employees in line with company policies and procedures. Responsibilities Promote and provide best practice and deliver health care services to employees within an occupational health setting, to assist ill and injured employees to reach maximum health and productivity. To be able to work on own initiative and as a member of a team. Have excellent communication skills, flexible to the needs of the growing organisation, the ability to work independently as well as part of a team and to be able to interact positively at all levels of the organisation are necessary prerequisites. Competency in audiometry, spirometry, vision screening, phlebotomy, VDU, ergonomics & administration of vaccines Experience The OHN will hold a recognised qualification in Occupational Health and Safety. Registered General Nurse with a valid NMBI registration. The OHN will have a minimum of 3 years post registration OH experience and a minimum of one year within a manufacturing setting is essential. The OHN will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to work in a busy OH setting. Have excellent report writing and IT skills.
