Job Description
We are seeking an Occupational Health Nurse to join our team in Sligo, Ireland. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing occupational health services at our facilities, ensuring the effective provision of health and wellbeing initiatives to employees.
- Provision of occupational health services at our facilities
- Collaboration with EHS to identify employees for medical surveillances
- Completion of medical evaluations and assessments
- Liaison with the Occupational Physician and external GP/ Occupational health clinics
- Assessment and treatment of workplace injuries and illnesses
- Monitoring of employee absenteeism and completion of absence reviews
- Coordination of return to work and rehabilitation of absent employees
- Development of employee wellbeing initiatives
- Routine administration of the occupational health department
- Liaison with EHS to ensure adequate levels of First Aiders
- Delivery of manual handling training to employees
- Preparation of employees for international business travel
- Completion of intoxicant screening
- Maintenance of employee medical records
Requirements
- Registered General Nurse on the active register with An Bord Altranais
- Higher Diploma or Masters qualification in Occupational Health, or
- At least 30 hours of continuing education in occupational health during the past two years, or
- Two years of experience in an occupational health setting, or
- A documented plan approved by the site management to meet the training requirement within a two-year period
