Occupational Therapist
Deliver high-quality, person-centred Occupational Therapy services to adults with intellectual disabilities, assessing, planning, and implementing intervention programmes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and plan intervention programmes for service users, prioritising outcomes defined by the service user, family, and carers.
- Liaise with multidisciplinary teams, including education, nursing, and care staff, to coordinate and deliver Occupational Therapy intervention.
- Attend and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure integrated care for service users.
- Consult with parents/guardians/service users regarding assessment, treatment, and education as appropriate.
- Develop and implement clinical protocols and guidelines reflective of evidence-based practice.
- Manage clinical and non-clinical caseloads, ensuring safe practice and high standards of service delivery.
Requirements:
- Hold a qualification in Occupational Therapy recognised by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU.
- Maintain annual CORU registration.
- Evidence of participation in Continuous Professional Development.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Effective planning, organisational, and time management skills.
- Relevant ICT skills.
