TTM Healthcare are currently working with a Leading private Hospital based in North Dublin in search of an Occupational Therapy Manager. This is a permanent Part Time position. As an Occupational Therapy Manager, you will work in conjunction with other multi-disciplinary team members in co-ordinating and developing the service to meet the needs of the patients and the objectives of the organisation. The Occupational Therapy Manager will be responsible for the provision of a high quality Occupational Therapy service and will carry out clinical and educational duties as required. The Occupational Therapy Department provides a service to the following clinical specialties including, Acute Medical Care, Older Persons, General Surgery, Gynaecology, Urology, Ophthalmology, Oncology and Palliative Care, Hand Therapy, Orthopaedics and Rheumatology. The position requires a both a strategic and practical approach to the delivery of services and structures, embracing continuous quality improvement and the management of changes necessary to achieve organisational objectives.Key Duties and Responsibilities:- Provide a high quality professional occupational therapy service to inpatients, day-care and outpatients at through hands-on delivery of care, plus demonstration and education as appropriate.- Develop a shared sense of commitment and participation among staff in the development of the occupational therapy service.- Participate in the preparation of plans for the service and monitor and report on their implementation as required.- Be responsible for the maintenance of standards of practice of self and staff appointed to clinical / designated area(s).- Be responsible for managing own caseload and for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of treatment programmes for service users according to service standards.- Participate in the integrated discharge planning process in line with the Bon Secours Hospital Dublin (BSHD) discharge policy and processes.- Be responsible for the day-to-day running of the BSHD Occupational Therapy service by prioritising and allocating work and promoting positive staff morale and team working in conjunction with the wider MDT.- Lead service planning by anticipating the changing needs of the service and service users.- Manage, participate and play a key role in the practice education of key stakeholders. Take part in teaching / training / supervision of other non-Occupational Therapy staff / students and attend practice educator courses as appropriate.Essential Qualifications- Minimum 3 years' experience in Oncology & Palliative care, Elderly Care, Rheumatology, Hand Therapy, Acute Medical Care in an acute hospital setting. - BSc (Occupational Therapy) or equivalent recognized and CORU validated qualification in Occupational Therapy.- Membership of Association of Occupational Therapists Ireland or equivalent therapy professional body.- Experience in an acute setting or within the specialities outlined above.- Evidence of the ability to achieve results through effective collaboration in a complex environment- Experience working as part of an interdisciplinary team.- Demonstrate adaptability to the rapid changes taking place in the health services.- Have the ability to organise and prioritise workload effectively.- Have the ability to exercise sound judgement when faced with conflicting pressure.- Be a team player who works well with colleagues from different backgrounds, professions and disciplines.To hear more about this role, please call Roisin on Apply or apply todayThis job was posted to Occupational therapist in Dublin €65000.0 - 75000.0 Per year Full timePermanent Dublin, Dublin, Ireland Servisource, on behalf of our client, is hiring an Occupational Therapy Manager.
