Job Description

Off-Licence Manager role: Lead a team to deliver excellent customer service and drive sales in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership
    • Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer experience
    • Foster a positive and inclusive team culture
    • Mentor and train staff to meet sales and service targets
  • Product Knowledge and Merchandising
    • Stay up-to-date with wine, craft beer, and premium spirits trends
    • Develop and maintain expert knowledge of products
    • Maintain visually appealing store displays and promotional materials
  • Operations and Finance
    • Manage inventory and stock levels to maximize sales and reduce waste
    • Monitor and control department overheads
    • Analyse sales data and KPI reports to inform business decisions
  • Store Standards and Compliance
    • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures
    • Maintain a clean and safe store environment
    • Comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards

Requirements:

  • 2 years' experience in a management or supervisory role in retail
  • Desirable: WSET Level 2 or alternative wine course, experience in off-licence sales
